HYPERTON-X KINESIOLOGY - at Bribie Natural Health Clinic
Hyperton-X is a Kinesiology Method (Muscle Testing) used in assessment and correcton of imbalanced muscles. By 'clearing' hypertonic muscles, the person becomes more flexible and relaxed with improved power. Certain techniques are also used for Pain and Emotional Stress Release, as well as enhancing physical and mental performance levels for improved learning ability, athletic performance, pregnancy gestation and childbirth, disability management plus a number of health issues.
The concept of Hyperton-X was developed by a physical therapist, Frank Mahoney. His philosophies support the conventional theory that soft tissue trauma through injury or over-use (RSI) can lead to a number of structural imbalances that occur in the posture. Such imbalances can be recognised by a trained therapist, and many of the presenting problems affect the nervous system, cerebro-spinal fluid flow and meridian energy flow.
A hypertonic muscle can be identified by restricted range of movement, and commonly affects shoulder joints and neck muscles. Correction method is based on Proprioceptor Neuro-Muscular Facilitation - PNF stretching.
Hypertonic Muscle Correction has been shown to have the following beneficial affects:
- Increase in neuro-muscular communication
- Resets the proprioceptor mechanisms in the muscle spindles that control flexibility (that may have been traumatised through injury)
- Improves circulation in both vascular and lymphatic systems
- Releases inhibiting signals (interferences) from muscle that may may cause a jamming effect in the sensory co-ordination areas of the brain.
- Improves co-ordination through improved muscle balance and enhanced cross-lateral stimulation in the brain.
- Releases restricted muscles that affect posture and improves normal flow of CSF fluid. Note: No spinal adjustments are required.
- The founder of Hyperton-X also experienced enhanced results when using this program for overcoming allergies and sensitivities, emotional stress issues and other issues that include TMJ syndrome and pain management.
Ron Weekes is an experienced certfied Hyperton-X therapist and has been incorporating the technique into massage therapy following microcurrrent treatment, that supports safe practice with soft tissue manipulation.

Ron Weekes is an experienced musculo-skeletal therapist

Jenifer Weekes is an experienced bodyworks specialist and will aid in the assessment of appropriate treatment programs for all patients.
HiCaps Health Fund Febates cover all remedial massage therapies where available.
