Jennifer Weekes ND has a Bachelor of Naturopathy, Advanced Diploma of Acupuncture and TCM plus Diplomas of Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy and Nutrition, Remedial and Oriental Massage, and is a certified Sports Massage Practitioner. As a registered ANTA Member (Australian Natural Therapists Asociation) she is a registered healthcare provider in all the above mentioned modalities www.anta.com. Jennifer is also a registered Biomesotherapist and member of the AAOH (Australian Association of Homotoxicology)

Jennifer's extensive career in acute care, medical, surgical and paediatrics units as well as maternity, psychiatric and outpatients clinics have proven useful assessment tools, and she still retains Queensland State Enrolment with the Queensland Nursing Council. Raising four healthy children enables Jennifer relate to family health issues and she provides practical advice as well as healthy lifestyle options.

Jennifer emphasises the reality that although alternative methods of treating illnesses are often of great assistance in regulating the body to restore good health, natural medicine is not able to cure all disease states, and that people need to be educated on the philosophy of naturecure. TCM philosophy of disease estimates a time frame of one month for every year of chronic illness with healing. Initial naturopathic consultations involve an in depth history and health assessment including tongue and hand diagnosis. Iridology is a useful assessment tool for constitutional weaknesses, and various tests such as zinc levels, malabsorption and ionic heavy metal testing, hemaview blood microscopy, thyroid appraisal, blood glucose testing, ABO blood cross matching are important benchmarks for evaluation of health and wellness.

Jennifer endeavors to find health solutions through dietary and lifestyle changes and detoxification programs. Many of her patients have found enormous health benefits by selecting foods from the blood group diet, and although a great deal of research is required to prove the efficacy of this philosophy, it is thought that people of certain blood types are better suited to certain food groups from ancestral adaptation that is better tolerated by their immune system.

Carefully selected herbal and homeopathic formulas often provide support and relief from symptoms and help with the body's defence mechanism and self regulation.

Ron Weekes is an experienced massage therapist, and as a former gymnastics coach, provides exceptional treatment for sporting injuries. Ron also attended the Hemaview blood microscopy training, and is now an experiences microscope technician.

The clinic is well located in Bellara Shopping Town on Bribie Island adjoining the Southern XRay Clinic ANZ Complex. Street Signage is clearly marked and the complex boasts extensive off-street parking. The clinic also has a loading zone right at the door for the convenience of handicapped patients, and the clinic is wheel chair accessible. There are two spacious and well equipped therapy rooms and a modern consultation room that caters for all ages including entertainment for children. There is a vast herbal and homeopathic dispensary and ample stocks of nutitional supplements. Separate space is provided for in-clinic testing of urine and blood, with an emphasis on infection control.

Consultation

Jennifer takes a thorough history from every patient and explores every symptom in order to accurately diagnose and provide specific treatment. An iridology examination, which is included in the consultation, often proves useful for determining certain digestive or organ weaknesses and toxicity.

Dispensary

The dispensary is stocked with a vast range of quality concentrated herbal extracts, which are combined to suit the individual. Quality nutritional supplements including vitamins and minerals are prescribed where appropriate. The dispensary contains a broad range of exclusive practitioner-only products, which have proven efficacy that is far superior to commercially available products. Jennifer makes up her own gut detoxification powders using carefully researched and sourced products for rapid results.
