Jennifer and Ron provide remedial massage as part of the therapies offered at Bribie Natural Health. Ron specialises in the area of sports massage. A range of safe stretches and exercises may be demonstrated to maintain flexibility and avoid future injury. Jennifer has diplomas of remedial and oriental massage involving a range of techniques including shiatsu and acupressure along with cross fibre mobilization and structural adjustments in conjunction with massage. Lymphatic drainage is a further service which offers relief to those suffering from lymphodoema which often occurs following operations to remove cancerous growths.
Jennifer has three separate health provider registration numbers for massage, acupunture and naturopathy, enabling many clients to receive a better rebate from their fund with certain treatment programs. The clinic offers a unique and complete treatment for muscular aches and pain. All patients are thoroughly assessed prior to therapies to ensure the correct mode of therapies are implemented to treat the problem. When there is tightness of muscles and inflammation the clinicians prefer to use Frequency Specific Microcurrent to relax and soften the tissue prior to massage, as this heightens the effectiveness of remedial therapies a hundred-fold. Niagara vibratory massage is also soothing and stimulatory to lymphatic drainage as well as circulation.
Following deep tissue massage, the treatment is always rounded off with the application of Traumeel cream and the use of bioptron light. Where there is severe pain, Jennifer will often recommend incorporating biomesotherapy, using sterile injectable homeopathics at acupuncture points and or acupuncture.
Lymphatic drainage is of great benefit where there is a stagnation in the lymphatics, and Jennifer is highly experienced and qualified with this procedure, that she has been practicing for many years.
Kinesiology is muscle testing and is often useful during therapies and for testing for food sensitivities.
Cross Fibre Mobilisation is another name for Bowen therapy, and Jennifer is trained and certified in the technique, which she often incorporates into massage therapy.
Structural Aligning is an important part of Jennifer’s therapies, and she is qualified in assessing the patient for misalignment and is trained in the effective procedures for soft tissue manipulation and stretching techniques as well as neuro muscular techniques.
Bribie Health Clinic provides access to HICAPs from private health funds which are affiliated with the scheme. HICAPs takes all the paper work out of private health fund rebates. The card is swiped and the patient pays the gap.
